It’s not easy being green, but this wood anemone does a wonderful job having an all green mop like flower. The petals and tepals on this form have all gone green, giving it a double green flowering look. Another one of the wonderful ephemeral, carpet creating, anemones that gets to say 5″ tall and dies back as summer comes. Grows from an underground woody horizontal rhizome. Plant them about 2-3″ below ground in moisture retentive woodland soil. Will do well under deciduous trees and spreads well, but not aggressively. Very hardy
