Description
From Japan, a large flowered selection of our native rue anemone that is a lovely, single flowering form with clear pink flowers in spring. This is said to be a mutation of the double variety ‘Shoaf’s Double Pink’, resulting in a single flowering form with 20 percent bigger flowers. The flowers are especially showy with good pink color. Best in gritty well draining soil. Anemonella’s have the added benefit of also being deer resistant. Tubers are naturally small and look like miniature dahlia roots… to us. On a related note, any piece of the root can be removed to start a new plant. Zones 4-9
