White Swan False Anemone A true aristocrat for the shady woodland bed, this is the white flower form of Anemonopsis macrophylla. Shiny green Actea/cimicifuga like foliage and flowers on wiry stems to about 2-3′ above the leaves in late summer. Well drained, moist woodland soil in the shade. Try to keep them out of the hot sun, it will scorch the leaves and do not let them dry out if at all possible. We have found they benefit greatly from a bit of organic fertilizer. Hardy in zone 4-7, probably to zone 9 on the west coast.
