Often confused with Arisaema consanguineum, true erubescens lacks the long threadlike extensions on the leaves, has a pinkish cast to the entire plant other than the foliage and the spathe extension is not as threadlike. The leaf is umbrella like, similar to consanguineum and the pink and white striped flower (inflorescence) emerges before the leaf unfolds. From higher altitudes in the Himalaya’s so should prove very hardy.
