Tall vigorous species from Eastern Asia that can be over 3′ tall on established tubers. Called ‘Dancing Crane’ in Japan because of the overall look of the plant in bloom. One large leaf made up of many leaflets and a tall bloom held above the leaf. Jutting out of the flower is a long tongue shooting straight towards the sky. Although an Asian jack, compared to Japanese Arisaema, this blooms later. Very easy to grow and makes massive tubers that are very prolific in making offsets. Zone 5-9
