Arisaema serratum var. serratum Ulleung Treasure

Not currently available at the nursery. We have sold this plant in the past and leave it up for informational purposes. Send us an email if you are interested in acquiring.

An amazing form of Arisaema serratum found at Korea’s extinct crater Ulleung Island. The original plant was growing at up to 3′ tall with gorgeous pewter leaves (green edge), and a sinister striped dark purplish-brown flower above the leaves. These tuber may take a year to settle in and show mature characteristics but are certainly worth the wait. Our experience with Arisaema serratum is that is early to rise and needs excellent drainage to persist in the open garden. Raised beds seem a must, although good success can be had around the base of evergreens (conifers). If you are super concerned, you can always lift jack in the pulpits and store for the winter.
