Description
No sale this year, we are holding for increase
Smaller bulbs (7-9cm) that should bloom in a year or two of pewter leaf forms of Arisaema taiwanensis. What can we say… it is truly a magnificent species hailing from… you guessed it, Taiwan. Incredible mottled 3′ tall stems topped with an umbrella like leaf of up to 15 leaflets that have drip tip on the ends of the leaf. The very dark oxblood colored hooded spathe is held close to the ground and has along appendage that almost touches the ground. It is surely a beautiful and easily grown species. If the seed of this form are sown there is a high percentage that will also have this glaucous blue/pewter overlay to the leaves. Zone 6a-9a. Photo: © Ben Candlin
