Description
Wonderful Himalayan (and Indian) species closely allied to Arisaema griffithii, that is also very similar looking, with three very large leaves on 2′ purple stippled stems. The flower is the star here, very deep wine red with white stripes and a pointed like beak hanging just above the opening. Slight amount of netting around the mouth of the flower but nothing like the yellow netting of Arisaema griffithii. More persistent that Arisaema griffithii and equally as stunning in flower. Hardy to zone 6, possibly zone 5 with cover. Photo: Himalayan Orchid Exports
