Wonderful new Bergenia with large, stunning pink flowers. The flowers on ‘Sakura’ are 4 times larger than typical B. purpurea, individual flowers varying from light to dark pink with dramatic pink veining. Sakura means Cherry Blossom in Japanese and these certainly have that color. Thick oval-shapped green leaves to 8″ with the flowers just above the foliage to about 16″. A big plus is that Bergenia are evergreen and deer and rabbit resistant. Width of clump at maturity is 18″. Zones 4-9
