One of the better if not best of the Disproum sessile forms (Japanese Fairy Bells). Red spots at the bottom of the stem with bright yellow leaves thinly edged in green to about 15″. This Disporum is very vigorous and will make a nice groundcover over time, and in very favorable conditions it may need the occassional dividing. In April-May are white flowers with soft green tips at the top of the stems. Average well-drained rich garden soil with good drainage suits it best. Morning sun is fine, shade after. Really a superb garden worthy plant and very hardy. Zones 4-8
