(Brian and Virginia Skaggs) Giant This Hosta ‘Big John’ hybrid is large it will stop you in your tracks. Emerging in the spring with a blue cast to the leaves it eventually settles down to a dark green, deeply veined look. Plants can attain giant proportion, some being measured at 4′ tall by 6-7′ across. Leaves have been measured at over 24″ long. Truely a giant in the garden. Pale lavender flowers.
