These are 3 year old cuttings. ‘Shikoubai’ is a wonderful lacecap Mountain hydrangea that will be about 3′ high and wide over time. This variety has black stems, serrated edges on the leaves. The internal fertile florets are blue, and surrounded by purple fertile florets that flushed with blue, and lavender. Soil ph can greatly affect the color of the blooms. Mountain hydrangeas are easily pruned to the desired shape, but by nature are small shrubs. Zones 5-9
