L. martagon Russian Morning

We’ve been absolutely taken aback by the beauty of this new martagon. Originally called Red Russia, it is extremely beautiful and had good color saturation.White to pale pink buds open to wonderful, well marked dark red petals with some spotting towards the center and a light throat. The back of the petals is a very pale reverse of the front color and makes for a good contrast. Give it time and humusy rich soil with good drainage and you will be pleasantly rewarded. Flowers are not quite as recurved as some, think a bit more flat. Easily 4’+. Zones 2-7
