One of the newer martagons in the ‘Morning’ series, ‘Scarlet Morning’ is a wonderful deep burnt red with yellow edges and small spots and halos. The spots and halos are small so the overall effect is a nice brick red lily on tall stems and rich green stems. ‘Scarlet Morning’ has the wonderful tier of whorled leaves and is very vigorous performing wonderfully in the shady woodland setting. Like all lilies it will appreciate good drainage, part sun/shade, well fed soil and will make nice colonies over time. 4′ zones 2-7
