Paris tetraphylla

Cousins of Trillium, Paris have received very little attention it seems by the gardening world. We are becoming fans of this genus and will continue to offer them. This Japanese Paris has stems to about 7″ topped by 4 (although it can have more) broad green leaves, with the flower on top of another slender stem. The actual flower is a thing of beauty, green tepals, and an amazing array of pistil and stamens. Flowers of Paris are hard to describe but otherwordly. These arise from similiar creeping, slender rhizomes, much like Trillium. Zones 5b-8 Photo:
