‘Hunan’ is one of the northern strains of difforme that are much more cold hardy and tend to dodge frosts unlike the early rising southern forms. Hardiness will be at least Z6. That said, the only other commercially available northern form ‘Starfish’ has been known to survive extended periods in the -20Fs. ‘Hunan’ is difficult to come by and our stock is very limited so we’re not expecting these to last long. And like the old adage I just now made up says, “Never let a new Podo pass you by.”
